Before 2018, the production technology for irregular-shape copper strips was a closely guarded secret, dominated by countries like Japan and France, leaving China reliant on imports. Facing this technological blockade, JinChuan Group took action. Partnering with domestic research institutes, the company spent nearly two years innovating on its existing production line. The result was a game-changing breakthrough: the development of core forging and stamping equipment. This advancement reduced the traditional 12-step rolling process to a single, efficient pass, dramatically improving production speed, product quality, and dimensional accuracy.

Liu Jianbin proudly notes that JinChuan is now the only company in China mastering both rolling and forging processes for irregular-shape copper strips. Compared to standard rolled strips, JinChuan’s products offer superior performance, meeting the exacting standards of modern semiconductor applications. With an annual production capacity of 7,000 tons, the company has emerged as a national leader, breaking foreign monopolies and bolstering China’s self-sufficiency in this critical technology.
